Dear Naturist Friend, Happy nude year to all our naturist friends! Now that the B.E.A.C.H.E.S. Nude Year Festival is over, we'd like you remind you of several upcoming naturist events at the end of this newsletter. 2012 HAULOVER NUDE YEAR FESTIVAL fire twirlers, drummers, dancers, music, food, drink & fun afterword & photos here The 3 day New Years Event went relatively smoothly, with three days of music, entertainment, great food and drink on the beach, as well as tent camping behind the Ocean Palm Hotel. Several canopies were set up for the purpose of providing information to the beach visitors and to answer question on naturist opportunities. Bare Necessities staff were there to answer questions on their several upcoming clothing-optional cruises. Gay Naturists International had
volunteers in their booth to discuss their association and promote their
upcoming social calender and resort visits. Naturists should know that GNI is one of the largest financial
contributors to the Naturist Action Committee.
CAMBIUM IS COMING TO TOWN! Starting from scratch, Francois Harley is well on the way to his dream of creating a holistic naturist community in the Dominican Republic for those who wish to live, work and play naked. The Cambium philosophy is to live within our energy footprint in an ecologically sustainable way. You've probably noticed Cambium has been advertising with us for several months, but maybe you'd like to know more. SATURDAY, JANUARY 14, 2012. Registration at 6:30 PM, presentation starts at 7:00 PM The Newport Beachside Resort www.newportbeachsideresort.com The Newport is offering attendees who wish to stay overnight a corporate room discount rate. Call (305) 949-1300 for reservations. Florida Legislature Report The Florida State Legislature will be starting the 2012 Legislative Session soon. Committees of the legislature have been meeting since last November's election for the purpose of developing the agenda as well as to seek support for proposed bills. Florida's 2012 House and Senate are the most conservative in the
past 20 years. We would not be surprised if the groups that support anti-nudity and "family values" laws through legislation have bills submitted that would
have a negative effect on the nudity at Haulover Beach as well as other beach
locations in Florida. South Florida Free Beaches/Florida Naturist Association will be working with our paid Tallahassee lobbying firm to review legislation and request help from our supporters by asking they contact legislators to oppose such bills that my be placed on the agenda, or to modify them so they do not threaten nude recreation. You can financially support our Political Action Program by sending donations to: SFFB/FNA PO Box 520306 Miami Shores, Florida 33153
